IDS offers EnergyWitness, a platform and methodology that
integrates building operational systems at the data level,
transforming engineering systems into a business system. It enables
facilities executives to advance their businesses through an
information-driven approach.
EnergyWitness collects and synchronizes all
operational datafrom every point, every 15 minutes,
24x7. The resulting building systems data warehouse
enables users to extract actionable intelligence to
drive control systems operations, mechanical and
electrical technicians, utilities operations,
commissioning, design engineering, construction, M&V,
and performance contracting. It is a single IT platform
used by facilities personnel and their supporting cast.
EnergyWitness layers substantial business intelligence
on top of the operational data through calculations that
provide engineering and business metrics such as
operating cost and space comfort. It delivers new
business value from existing data.
Users operate in a new worldone with information at
their fingertips. Highly interactive access to
information, organized for each user’s needs, increases
productivity (often by two or three orders of magnitude)
and effectiveness, leading to major financial benefits
and qualitative improvements. With EnergyWitness,
facilities operations can be run like the business that
it is.
EWViewer
EWViewer provides the fastest and most efficient means to monitor energy
systems, their controlled parameters and metered consumption.
It's designed to be the ultimate tool for monitoring and diagnosing
campus energy systems by using interval data.
A building operator can examine
the pattern of operation with respect to its system’s historical
performance. Disturbances from normal patterns of operation can be
tracked for further action and addressed to maintenance personnel
… or they can be placed under watch to determine if a further course
of action is required.
EWIssueTracker
EWIssueTracker is tightly
integrated with EWViewer to assist in managing problems or
abnormalities when they are discovered. The issue is tied to the
specific trend line and point in time where it was discovered.
Additional information can be added as you track it through
categorization, prioritization, resolution, and verification. |
EWDataCollector & EWDataWarehouse
EWDataCollector uses a
variety of technologies to transfer data from the interval
data source (building automation systems, advanced metering systems, utility data, weather
data, etc.) into the EnergyWitness database,
EWDataWarehouse.
EWDataWarehouse centralizes and homogenizes facility energy data
and operations information, making it simple and easy for people to
acquire time-series data from various building services.

EWUtilityBilling
EWUtilityBilling enables energy
costs allocation based on accurate energy consumption rather
than estimates based on square footage or similar scheme.
Energy users (your internal customers) can see current and historical
usage
for all energy types and manage their activities
accordingly. |
